Cybersecurity Operations Engineer

Key Role:
Apply advanced knowledge of monitoring, analyzing, detecting, and responding to Cyber events and incidents within information systems and networks. Participate in and support the conduct of Cyber tabletop exercises in support of product RMF activities. Maintain thorough knowledge of DoDIN operations, US Cyberspace operations community architecture, and potential defensive capabilities for countering Cyber threats. Assess operational risks and issues, develop effective courses of action (COAs) and mitigation strategies, and coordinate actions for Army tactical network and computer system program managers. Coordinate planning efforts across members of the DoD community and access current scientific and technical intelligence products for awareness of threats to tactical systems. Provide leadership and mentoring for fellow Cyber team members and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).

Basic Qualifications:
-10+ years of experience as a Cyberspace operations engineer or equivalent functional area
-Experience in working with military staff, including supporting senior military and civilians
-Knowledge of military processes, methodologies, and orders
-TS/SCI clearance
-BA or BS degree in CS, Cybersecurity, or Computer Engineering
-DoD 8140 or DoD 8570 IAM Level III Certification

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with Army RMF processes and product development for Cyber engineering
-Experience with working in the DoD at the Joint Staff, OSD, Service, or other major Headquarters Staff elements
-Experience in operating, integrating, configuring, or working with tactical networks or command and control systems preferred
-Ability to pay strict attention to detail
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
-Possession of excellent organizational, analytical, and problem–solving skills
