Cybersecurity Policy Analyst

Key Role:

Develop strategies, policies, and architecture to identify issues and gaps and determine the requirements necessary to support the DoD CIO cryptographic modernization initiative and key management program. Address both cryptographic modernization and key management capabilities, including a review of relevant regulations, directives, mandates, policies, and supporting technical specifications. Evaluate the current state of the Army's capabilities to identify the elements that provide clear return on investment and determine how to leverage to gain IT efficiencies. Assess the current-state Army's program, requirements, processes, standard operating procedures, and technologies. Assess and provide recommendations on how program technologies are deployed within the strategic and tactical environment. Travel to key locations to assess standalone and embedded program capabilities, as necessary. Assess and evaluate new and emerging program technologies that can be used across the Army.


Basic Qualifications:

-8+ years of experience with working in the Army Staff in Cybersecurity or related fields 

-Knowledge of the general principles supporting the Army’s communication security policies, guidelines, and procedures

-Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

-Active TS/SCI clearance

-HS diploma or GED

-DoD 8570.1 Information Assurance Manager (IAM) Level II Certification, including Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Global Information Assurance – Security Leadership Certification (GSLC), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP)

-Possession of excellent writing skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills


Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
