Cybersecurity Specialist

Key Role:

Provide DoD and National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) information assurance security guidance to our defense client, including planning, developing, implementing, and maintaining programs, policies, and procedures to protect the integrity and confidentiality of systems, networks, and data. Ensure computer information systems, networks, and network interfaces are secure, determine and grant levels of access to persons, protect against Cyber threats and Cyber crimes, and identify and mitigate information vulnerabilities. Train the defense client on information assurance (IA) and Cyber best practices, procedures, industry standards, processes, and protocols. Develop, administer, and conduct IA training, coordinate with the defense client’s Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM), conduct risk assessments on systems, networks, and in accordance with DoD regulations and policies, as required.

Basic Qualifications:

-10 years of experience as a Cyber subject matter expert (SME)

-Experience with the Special Access Program (SAP) or Special Access Required (SAR) programs

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with international security cooperation programs, including foreign military sales

-Experience in Japan, including working with the Japanese government

-Knowledge of the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter program a plus

-Ability to work well in a team environment

-Possession of excellent interpersonal and intercultural skills

-TS/SCI clearance preferred

-Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or related Network Certification preferred
