Cybersecurity Task Lead

Key Role:

Work in a challenging environment that combines technical security testing, security engineering, and policy and compliance expertise with business consulting expertise to deliver high-value client IT security solutions and program planning. Leverage expertise in Cybersecurity and privacy analysis and consulting throughout the security assessment and compliance life cycle process, including maintaining responsibility for analyzing the planning, developing, and finalizing Cybersecurity and privacy policies, programs, compliance artifact, or standards to support government and industry security compliance, systems accreditation, and management. Support the oversight and drafting of complex reports and briefings that the client may provide to senior DoD leaders or other stakeholders, including the government or other DoD leadership offices. Contribute intellectual capital and expertise to other workstream leads responsible for performance measurement, operational quality assurance, and strategic planning and analyze the development of the documentation, validation, and accreditation processes necessary to ensure systems meet security and privacy requirements. Assess the effectiveness of an organization’s IT security and privacy training program, including conducting social engineering exercises to ensure training remains consistent with current Cybersecurity and privacy threats and policies and assist with achieving full compliance with all laws and regulations. Coordinate work flows and schedules, provide leadership and mentoring to junior employees, and contribute to the development of innovative principles and ideas. Act as a leader on large programs or projects that affect the organization's long-term goals and objectives which require highly creative solutions to unusually complex problems.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience in a management or leadership role in a military organization

-Experience with DIACAP or NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) policies, including continuous monitoring and information system security policies, standards, and procedures

-Experience with managing client relationships

-Ability to conduct comprehensive information gathering and analysis

-Secret clearance

-HS diploma or GED required

-DoD Cybersecurity Work Force (CSWF) Certification, including Security+CE, CISSP, CASP, SSCP, CISM,  or GSLC CEH

Additional Qualifications:
-3+ years of experience with preparing full RMF security authorization packages or legacy DIACAP packages

-3+ years of experience with analyzing the development of security assessment plans, security assessment reports, and risk assessment reports

-2+ years of experience with security control compliance repositories or tools, including eMASS or Xacta, VRAM, and ACAS

-1+ years of experience with analyzing, assessing, or implementing NIST 800-53 Rev 4 security controls, CCIs, and equivalent assessment procedures

-Experience in working with a Department of the Navy (DON) organization

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills, including delivering recommendations supported by in-depth analysis under tight timelines consistently and working collaboratively to achieve measurable outcomes

-BA or BS degree in an IT-related field

-Navy Qualified Validator (NQV) Level I, II, or III or legacy Fully Qualified Navy Validator (FQNV) Certification

-Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
