Cyberspace and Space Operations Policy Analyst

Key Role:

Provide onsite support to Headquarters, US Marine Corps (HQMC) as a policy analyst covering Cyberspace, space, and information warfare. Attend meetings, review policy, strategy, and guidance, and provide recommendations for senior–level personnel. Analyze and provide inputs to Departmental, Joint, and Marine Corps strategy, policy, and guidance, and remain abreast of changes in Cyberspace and space strategy, policy, and guidance to inform HQMC efforts. Identify Cyberspace policy gaps or challenges, recommend solutions to the government client, and develop Marine Corps policy based on identified gaps. Research federal regulations, including National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) and OSD policies and directives to analyze and determine impact to Marine Corps Cyberspace and space policy to ensure timely resolution of issues and successful program execution. Develop client–ready deliverables for a wide variety of audiences across the DoD and within the USMC, including deliverables suitable for GO, FO, and SES audiences, such as information and decision briefings and papers, policy documents, such as Marine Corps Orders and MARADMINs, comment resolution matrices, talking points, meeting minutes, and request for information responses.

Basic Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience in working with DoD entities

-Experience with policy or program management

-Experience with NDAA and OSD policies

-Experience with developing client–ready deliverables across varying levels of audiences

-Knowledge of formal military Service, Department, and DoD staffing and coordination processes

-Active TS/SCI clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Cyberspace operations policy or program management

-Experience with researching and analyzing legislation and federal regulations, including Chapter 16 or Title 10 of the US Code

-Experience at the headquarters level of a military command

-Ability to be a self–starter, manage competing priorities in a fast–paced environment, work independently and as part of a team, analyze complex data, and prioritize tasks

-Possession of excellent interpersonal skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-MA or MS degree in a related technical field
