Data Analyst/Curator, Senior

Key Role:

Apply expertise in quantitative analysis, data mining, and the presentation of data to see beyond the numbers and comprehend how users interact with core or business products. Analyze data and translate it into recommendations when working with various teams across the organization. Provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.


Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with architecture design or the development of enterprise data solutions, applications, and integrations

-Experience with modern enterprise data architectures and data tool sets, including data warehouse, data marts, data lake, dimensional models, modeling tools, and profiling tools

-Experience with enterprise data management functions and their implementation in an Air Force or DoD context, including master and reference data management, metadata management, data quality, and data discovery and profiling

-Experience with data wrangling tools and practices, including ETL, source-to-target mappings, and analytic functions

-Experience with data acquisition in an US Air Force context

-Ability to leverage SQL expertise, including using analytic functions

-Ability to perform data curation disciplines to be acquired and inducted into a data lake architecture, including data ingestion, profiling, tagging, and alignment to technical and business metadata, harvesting and comprehending business rules, and evaluating those rules against inducted data sets to assess data health, quality and reliability

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-HS diploma or GED
 

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with data lake architectures, platforms, and tools, including Spark, Hive, and Hadoop

-Knowledge of data architecture and design patterns and how to apply them

-Ability to define data requirements

-Ability to conceptualize and articulate ideas clearly and concisely

-Ability to define the attributes and domain of data types

-Ability to create physical models based on functional and nonfunctional requirements

-Possession of excellent problem-solving, presentation, and interpersonal skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication, skills

-Certified Data Management Professional Certification, including CDMP, CDP, or similar
