Data Analyst, Mid

Key Role:

Provide analytic and research support for the Integrated Personnel and Pay System-Army (IPPS-A). Assist with cleansing database and soldier data as data is ported over from legacy databases to populate a relational database that will fully support standardization of data for all components. Collaborate with government clients, other contractors, and stakeholders to gather data discrepancy information. Develop queries to extract accurate and timely business information from existing data environments to determine the most efficient and effective way to get the most accurate set of data ported across. Provide advice and support to the requirements documentation and refinement branch chief and representatives on methods of approach to correct system discrepancies discovered through analysis. Analyze and compare data between Army legacy systems and the IPPS-A data design. Plan, direct, and perform system management, quality assurance, system inquiry, and trend analysis. 

Basic Qualifications:

-10+ years of experience in Army HR organizations, including expertise in the Army's HR system

-5+ years of experience with data analysis

-5+ years of experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
-Experience with identifying data sources and manipulating and extracting data for dashboards, visualization, or reports

-Experience with building databases and reports in Microsoft Access
-Active Secret clearance
-BA or BS degree 

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Microsoft Visio preferred

-Experience with working in databases or using SQL

-Knowledge of how to analyze business processes
