Data Architect, Mid

Key Role:

Maintain responsibility for building out and managing the roadmaps and architectures for the next generation of data analytic solutions for clients to revolutionize the way they operate. Deliver robust solutions that serves clients and stands apart from competitors by combining engineering expertise with innovation and vision. Work across a multi-disciplinary team of analysts, data scientists, developers, and users to comprehend the data requirements to develop robust data architectures that will ingest, manipulate, normalize, store, and expose potentially billions of records per day to support advanced analytics. Architect, build, and launch new data models, data standards, and data management systems to provide intuitive analytics to clients and assess data sources, business requirements, and strategic visions to develop roadmaps and data strategies for clients. Collaborate with and contribute to open source software communities and ensure quality delivery of systems through thorough testing and reviews. Design and develop new systems and tools to enable clients to consume and comprehend data faster. Identify new technologies to support advanced data integration, storage, and analysis.


Basic Qualifications 

-2+ years of experience with database implementations, database language theories, database design, SQL, and database programming 

-2+ years of experience with dimensional data modeling and schema design in Data Warehouses 

-Experience with software design, implementation, and testing

-Experience with custom or structured ETL design, implementation, and maintenance

-Experience with DAMA DMBOK, CMMI DMM, or other data governance methodology  

-Ability to quickly learn technical concepts and communicate with multiple functional groups 

-Ability to demonstrate clean coding habits, attention to detail, and focus on quality 

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BS degree in CS


Additional Qualifications 

-Experience with batch and streaming frameworks, including Storm, NiFi, Apex, and Flink 

-Experience with messaging frameworks, including Kafka and Flume 

-Experience with NoSQL data stores, including Accumulo, HBase, MongoDB, and Cassandra 

-Experience with analytic databases, including Hive, Presto, and Impala 

-Experience with search technologies, including Solr and Elasticsearch 

-Experience with API design, development, and testing 

-Experience with applications security, cryptography, network security, and systems security 

-Experience with developing service APIs for external consumption 

-Experience with RDBMS data stores, including PostgreSQL and MySQL 

-Experience with large-scale, distributed systems design and development

-Experience in working with AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or other Cloud provider services 

-Experience with DevOps methods and tools, including Jenkins, Ansible, Git, and Docker 

-Knowledge of at least one scripting language, including Python, Node, Ruby, or Bash 

-Knowledge of scaling, performance, and scheduling 

-Knowledge of system architecture, including process, memory, storage, and networking management preferred

-Knowledge of Machine Learning and Deep Learning concepts and algorithms 

-Possession of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills 

-MS degree in CS or similar field

-Security+ or CISSP Certification
