Data Architect, Senior

Key Role:

Build out and manage the roadmaps and architectures for the next generation of data analytic solutions for clients to revolutionize the way they operate. Combine engineering expertise with innovation and vision to deliver robust solutions that serves clients and stands apart from competitors. Provide thought leadership around technologies and approaches to enterprise data architecture, including master data management, data modeling, reference architecture, data strategy, innovation, and information sharing. Identify what data is available and relevant, including internal and external data sources, as appropriate.

Basic Qualifications

-5+ years of experience with data architecture, SQL, data modeling, and database design and administration

-Experience with developing data reference models and conceptual, logical, and physical data models

-Experience with data modeling tools, including Erwin

-Experience in custom or structured ETL design, implementation, and maintenance

-Experience with DAMA DMBOK, CMMI DMM, or other data governance methodology

-Knowledge of reporting standards and creating data mapping documentation from existing datasets and documentation of data models and data dictionaries

-Knowledge of JSON and data exchange standards

-Ability to present solutions to various levels of management precisely and work across different groups to implement the proposed solutions

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BS degree in CS

Additional Qualifications

-Experience with batch and streaming frameworks, including Storm, NiFi, Apex, and Flink

-Experience with messaging frameworks, including Kafka or Flume

-Experience with NoSQL data stores, including Accumulo, HBase, MongoDB, and Cassandra

-Experience with analytic databases, including Hive, Presto, and Impala

-Experience with search technologies, including Solr and Elasticsearch

-Experience with API design, development, and testing

-Experience with large-scale, distributed systems design and development

-Experience in working with AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or other Cloud provider services

-Experience with DevOps methods and tools, including Jenkins, Ansible, Git, and Docker

-Knowledge of scaling, performance, and scheduling

-Knowledge of at least one scripting language, including Python, Node, Ruby, or Bash

-Knowledge of system architecture, including process, memory, storage, and networking management preferred

-Knowledge of Machine Learning and Deep Learning concepts and algorithms

-Possession of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

-Security+ or CISSP Certification
