Data Architect

Key Role:

Comprehend data and data management from an enterprise architecture perspective and use that knowledge to translate business-oriented information requirements into technical data management solutions by analyzing the development and implementation of enterprise data strategies for the management and sharing of data that enables more effective cross-enterprise and inter-enterprise system interoperability. Ensure enterprise data assets are governed by a comprehensive data management approach. Demonstrate expertise in database design, data modeling, data integration, modern data implementations, Big Data tools, and data exchange standards. Apply advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts. Analyze the development of new principles and concepts. Work on unusually complex technical problems and provide highly innovative and ingenious solutions.

Basic Qualifications:

-5 years of experience as a data architect, including architecting and designing data warehouses and operational data stores

-Experience with designing star schemas, Type I and Type II dimensions, and data structures to support business intelligence and visualization tools

-Experience with creating and update conceptual, logical, and physical data models

-Experience in working with business owners to comprehend requirements and translating into data structures to support end business goals

-Knowledge of a relational database management system (RDBMS), including DB2, Oracle, or SQL

-Ability to provide best practices on structuring data to optimize efficiency, speed to market, and data quality

-Active Top Secret clearance required

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with TOAD or ERWIN

-Experience with extract, transform, and load (ETL) or Informatica

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.
