Data Engineer

Key Role:

Apply an Aerospace client with optimized data and data pipeline architecture expertise. Obtain data from an enterprise architecture view and translate business-oriented information requirements into technical data management solutions by developing and implementing enterprise data management strategies, including sharing of data enabling a more effective cross-enterprise and inter-enterprise system interoperability. Ensure enterprise data assets are governed by a comprehensive data management approach. Design, implement, and manage databases and data delivery systems and transform them into insights, analysis, and reporting. Leverage knowledge of database design and implementation tools, including entity-relationship data modelling and SQL, distributed computing architectures, operating systems, storage technologies, memory management, and networking enables to create structure and value out of complex and ambiguous technical challenges with little guidance. 


Basic Qualifications:

-1+ years of experience with custom or structured ETL design, implementation, and maintenance

-1+ years of experience in working with data scientists to gather, structure, and compute ETL and Big Data jobs on a reoccurring basis

-Experience in working with Hadoop-based technologies

-Experience with NoSQL data stores, including Accumulo, HBase, MongoDB, and Cassandra

-Experience with batch and streaming frameworks, including Storm, NiFi, Apex, and Flink

-Experience with analytic databases, including Hive, Presto, and Impala

-Experience with multiple data modeling concepts, including XML and JSON

-Ability to obtain a security clearance
-HS diploma or GED


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with supporting US Air Force business information system projects

-Experience in the Air Force domain

-Possession of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

-BA or BS degree

-Security+ or CISSP Certification
