Data Engineer

Key Role: 

Validate existing requirements for database design and development, identify new system requirements while analyzing systems and designing technical and database computer systems, and design and construct relational databases for data warehousing. Develop data modeling and maintain responsibility for data acquisition, including Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL), access analysis and design, and archive, recovery, and load strategy design and implementation. Coordinate new data development ensuring consistency and integration with existing warehouse structure. Install, configure, scale, upgrade, administer, monitor, maintain, and oversee the security of databases. Review business requests for data and data usage, researching data sources for new and better data feeds. Assist with continuous improvement efforts in enhancing performance and providing increased functionality. Consult with user personnel and systems analysts to clarify system issues and program intent to identify problems and recommend changes and provide technical guidance to systems analyst personnel assigned to system database and computer system projects.


Basic Qualifications:

-4+ years of experience with database engineering

-Experience with encrypting and implementing configuration with group policies

-Experience in designing and working with ETL pipelines

-Experience with working across classified and unclassified environments

-Knowledge of Microsoft SQL server environments

-Ability to work independently in an isolated client location

-Ability to work well with a team and strive for continuous improvement

-Ability to follow client technical specifications and procedures for access to and safeguarding classified information

-Top Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree in CS, Information Systems Engineering, or Business


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with DoD and STIG implementations

-Knowledge of SQL servers and STIG


Clearance:
