Data Governance Analyst

Key Role:

Support the execution and implementation of the data governance framework for the firm’s ERP project. Focus on growing the footprint of governed data, formalizing data stewardship and ensuring data quality. Apply knowledge of data governance to provide consultation regarding industry best practices, facilitate cross functional data-related discussions, and provide analysis of pain points, data quality issues, and risk exposures to the data. Monitor and assess adherence to data governance guiding principles and data policies throughout the project, offer recommendations for improvement, and leverage the firm’s data governance system, Collibra, for the formalization of glossaries, dictionaries, and change control processes. Collaborate with business owners and IT department. Lead efforts to create data, metrics, and reports dictionaries and business glossaries. 

Basic Qualifications:

-2 years of experience with working in a data governance, data management, or data quality program

-Experience with having primary responsibility for leading discussions, work streams, and small-scale data-related efforts

-Knowledge of data governance practices and concepts related to data quality, data cleansing, and data management
-Ability to develop cooperative and constructive working relationships
-Ability to perform gap analysis, identify issues, and recommend solutions proactively
-Ability to navigate a diverse set of clients and application landscape

-BA or BS degree or 4+ years of experience with data governance or data management

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with programming languages, including Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, and MS SQL

-Experience with data query tools, including TOAD, SQL Navigator, and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)

-Experience with Collibra or other data governance software
-Experience with Microsoft Office 365 tool suite
-Possession of excellent consulting skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
