Data Governance Lead

Key Role: 

Work with the existing IT governance structure to establish new data governance infrastructure and processes. Establish and foster a new concept of business data stewardship and its collaborative links to the new data governance infrastructure and processes. Analyze the creation of data governance processes and procedures that encompass operational level data management activities and necessary interactions with the Air Force’s data office construct. Create data governance metrics for status reporting and business process improvement while ensuring issues resolution and escalation procedures. Establish data governance work groups for creation and sustainment data management governance principles and ensure foundational and follow-on role-based data governance and stewardship training. Work with the data management and IT community to ensure IT requirements to support data governance processes are created and functioning within the IT infrastructure.   

Basic Qualifications:
-8+ years of experience with business analysis, including both collection and analysis
-2+ years of experience with master data management or ontology or taxology creation or maintenance
-2+ years of experience in a data governance program role or establishing a data governance program
-Experience with data management principles
-Ability to obtain a security clearance
-HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:
-2+ years of experience with working in the DoD, including the HAF, MAJCOM, or agency level
-Experience with Air Force support or programs

-Experience with creating, critiquing, and teaching data management training material and legacy team matrices, including system developers, other business analysts, data modelers, and program managers
-Experience with the six SDDP process steps
-Ability to be a self-starter and work in a dispersed environment
-Ability to brief and engage with senior-level clients
-Possession of excellent organizational skills, including strict attention to detail
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
-Secret clearance
-BA or BS degree

-Active Data Governance, Data Management, Information Management, or Master Data Management Certification
