Data Link Communications Engineer

As a systems engineer on our team, you have the chance to design Tactical and Common Data Link (TDL/CDL) systems in support of DoD, Joint, Service, and related agency clients. Your technical expertise will be vital as you evaluate and modernize airborne communications in highly contested environments. You’ll develop your skills in software defined radios and networks, waveform design, and antenna design while gaining experience in command and control and Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance mission areas. Grow your skills by merging systems engineering and integration skills and design of new, emergent and innovative data link technologies to create new applications to realize a Joint Aerial Layer Network. You Have:

-Experience with Tactical Data Links (TDLs), including Link 16 and Common Data Links (CDLs), including Bandwidth Efficient-CDL

-Knowledge of emerging technologies in designing RF communications and networks for airborne applications, including Software Defined Radios and networks, omni-directional and directional antenna technologies, and secure data transport technologies

-Ability to design, develop, and engineer airborne communications systems and construct a link budget

-Secret clearance

-BS degree in Systems, Electrical, Computer, or Communications Engineering or Computer Science

Nice If You Have:

-Experience in the design of TDL and CDL capabilities, including Low Probability of Intercept and Detection (LPI/LPD)

-Knowledge of jamming techniques and countering techniques

-Ability to translate technical concepts into operational advancements

-TS/SCI clearance

-MS degree in Systems, Electrical, Computer, or Communications Engineering or Computer Science
