Data Modeler, Manager

Key Role:

Work with data and data management from an enterprise architecture. Translate business-oriented information requirements into technical data management solutions by developing and implementing enterprise data strategies for the management, including share data that enables more effective cross-enterprise and inter-enterprise system interoperability. Ensure enterprise data assets are governed by a comprehensive data management approach. Exhibit expertise in database design, data modeling, data integration, modern data implementations, big data tools and data exchange standards.


Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with developing and maintaining data dictionary, controlled vocabulary, indexes, and catalogs using relevant industry and Web standards

-Experience with configuring, monitoring, and providing input and direction for records management technology and systems

-Experience in recommending new processes to enhance systems

-Experience with implementing knowledge management activities, including vocabulary and taxonomy governance process, communicating consistently about upcoming changes

-Experience with developing documentation to define tools, methodologies, processes, access requirements, and compliance reports

-Experience with Microsoft Office

-Ability to maintain and update Intranet resources for compliance, and quality assurance to facilitate easy access, and sharing and disseminating information

-Ability to manage a vocabulary, taxonomy, and ontology focused project, collaborating with relevant team members, developers, and stakeholders

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree


Additional Qualification:

-Experience with the SPAWAR organization

-Experience with Magic Draw or Similar Enterprise Architecture tools

-Experience with using, developing, and managing ontologies

-Experience with OWL, XML, and RDF

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Possession of excellent organizational and analytical skills

-Top Secret clearance, preferred
