Database Administrator/Architect

Key Role:

Design, implement, and manage databases and data delivery systems and transform it into insights, analysis, and reporting. Serve as the database administrator for multiple databases in varying technologies, including SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Access and participate in white boarding sessions with the development and requirements team to architect database structures associated with new functionality and integrations. Maintain database diagrams, data dictionaries, and other documentation for the databases for client delivery. Work with data analysis team members to support building data structures for analysis and transformation.


Basic Qualifications:

-4+ years of experience in working as database administrator for SQL Server relational databases and collaboratively with a development team for system delivery

-4+ years of experience in developing stored procedures, tables, triggers, agents, views, functions, and associated database diagrams depicting the database design with overall data architecture

-4+ years of experience with normalizing relational databases, including Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Access, or MySQL

-Experience with the Agile development methodology and other methodologies

-Experience with developing and maintaining data dictionaries

-Knowledge of ETL processes

-Active Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree in CS, MIS, or IT


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with reading, writing, and programmatically manipulating XML

-Experience with receiving large data sets, analyzing the data, developing data architecture to support the data, and performing ETL to populate the data

-Knowledge of ORMs, including Entity Framework or NHibernate and associated impacts on databases

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Possession of excellent analytical skills

-Security+ or equivalent Certification within 6 months of hire
