Database Administrator/Architect

Key Role:

Design, implement, and manage databases and data delivery systems and transform it into insights, analysis, and reporting. Serve as the database administrator for multiple databases in varying technologies, including SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Access. Participate in white boarding sessions with the development and requirements team to architect database structures associated with new functionality and integrations. Maintain responsibility of database diagrams, data dictionaries, and other documentation for the databases for client delivery. Work with data analysis team members to support building data structures for analysis and transformation.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience in working as database administrator for SQL Server relational databases and collaboratively with a development team for system delivery

-Experience with normalizing relational databases, including Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Access, or MySQL

-Knowledge of Image result for Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) processes

-Active Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with reading, writing, and programmatically manipulating XML

-Experience with receiving large data sets, analyzing the data, developing data architecture to support the data, and performing ETL to populate the data

-Knowledge of ORMs, including Entity Framework or NHibernate and associated impacts on databases

-Possession of excellent analytical skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Security+ or equivalent Certification within 6 months of hire
