Key Role:
The Charleston Digital Hub of Booz Allen Hamilton is looking for a highly skilled and knowledgeable Database Administrator to join our Operations and Maintenance project team.


The Charleston Hub is a software development hub of Booz Allen that operates and executes much like a fast-paced startup within the larger organization. Database Administrators will work on a team supporting primarily Oracle Real Application Cluster database infrastructure administration and design as well as operational application support. The team supports maintenance of a Web-based application supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs. Team members will be responsible for maintenance activities and best practices as well as troubleshooting issues with the database host machines and data table structure.

Basic Qualifications:

-4+ years of experience with Oracle 11g and 12c database administration

-4+ years of experience with Oracle Real Application Clusters

-Experience with database monitoring best practices

-Experience with a scripting language, including Bash, Python, Perl, or Ruby

-Experience with database performance tuning practices

-Experience with supporting 24x7 production environments

-Experience with disaster recovery best practices
-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with NoSQL databases

-Experience with SQL Developer and TOAD

-Experience with Oracle backup and recovery procedures and tools, including 3rd party tools

-Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager, Data Guard, or Golden Gate

-Experience with supporting Linux-based operating systems and shell scripting

-BA or BS degree in CS or a related field
