Defense Acquisition Technology Manager

Key Role:

Provide direct client Technical Manager support to a DoD program office. Work with multiple DoD government agencies in the execution of Other Transaction Authority (OTA) acquisition processes, including analysis of annual plan requirements development, competitive evaluations, and agreement awards. Provide technical leadership to the government customer base and advise engineers and scientists on their prototype acquisition strategies to ensure compliance with OTA regulations. Participate in continuous process improvement initiatives throughout the year to correct deficiencies, reduce process timelines, and increase mission effectiveness. Support business development initiatives through leading government client site visits, hosting workshops, and supporting industry day events. Contribute to the team to achieve a synergistic and collaborative environment across industry partners, government customers, and acquisition centers. Provide strategic input throughout the year to support the long-term growth and sustainability of the enterprise.

Basic Qualifications:

-10 years of experience with working in DoD research labs and leading Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) programs

-Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and OTA contracting processes and methods

-Active Secret clearance

-BS degree in Engineering, Science, or Technology

Additional Qualifications:

-Knowledgeable of Lean Six Sigma (LSS) process improvement tools and techniques

-Possession of excellent technical writing skills

-MS degree in an engineering, science, or technical field

-LSS Greenbelt, Black Belt, or Master Black Belt Qualification
