Defense Forensics and Biometrics Analyst

Key Role:
Manage the DoD Forensics and Biometrics Reference Architecture (FBRA) through the application of enterprise architecture expertise. Advise the client architecture branch lead, collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect and analyze data, and conduct modeling and analysis of technology resources. Apply analytical techniques that recommend technical solutions to help the client manage, maintain, and optimize the DoD FBRA and achieve its short and long-term objectives, specifically determining metrics to measure for architecture conformance, and its role in supporting senior leader decision-making. Lead workshops, decision meetings, collaborative sessions, and executive briefings related to forensics and biometrics enterprise architecture and IT enabling topics. Manage the delivery of high-quality work products, including the development and maintenance of project schedules, reports, and resources.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with DoD processes and procedures at a Service, Joint, or combatant command organization

-2+ years of experience with DoDAF enterprise architecture modeling and data architecture modeling
-2+ years of experience with enterprise architecture modeling tools, including MagicDraw

-Experience with developing capability, operational, system-of-systems, and data architecture models

-Knowledge of DoD forensics and biometrics capabilities and enterprise and solution architecture

-Secret clearance required
-BA or BS degree required

Additional Qualifications:
-3+ years of experience in a project leadership role as an architecture lead, task lead, or project lead preferred
-2+ years of experience with developing IT strategy in support of systems development, system-of-systems architecture development and maintenance, portfolio management, or acquisition management
-2+ years of experience with developing or reviewing JCIDS documents, including the required architecture portions

-2+ years of experience with BPMN

-Experience with working in Agile environments a plus
-Experience with using Microsoft Visio and Office

-Knowledge of ISPs and their relationship to architecture
-Ability to enforce documented standards and provide guidance to application teams
-Ability to create and maintain documentation pertinent to data architecture and standards
-Ability to work in a team environment and independently on assigned tasks
-Possession of excellent documentation, analytical, interfacing, and presentation skills
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Certified Enterprise Architect preferred
-FEAC, BPMN, or ITIL Certification
