Defense Research Analyst, Senior

Key Role:

Serve as a lead development analyst for an Army client and maintain responsibility for analyzing, implementing, and executing the command’s leader development program. Use analytical reasoning, military decision-making, and problem solving to develop and implement leader development strategies and apply requirements from Army strategies, plans, and concepts to translate them into SROTC Cadet, Cadre, and Faculty developmental objectives. Comprehend Army leadership doctrine and current Army training strategies and leverage knowledge of current practices in curriculum development, the Adult Learning Model, and Bloom’s Taxonomy to identify character and leader development requirements. Participate in staff working groups to develop insights and actionable recommendations to inform curriculum and Cadre and Faculty development. Influence others and provide high quality deliverables for clients, engage and interact directly with senior client leaders to comprehend client requirements and meet and exceed expectations, and work effectively as a member of a team.


Basic Qualifications:

-10 years of experience in a military work environment, including

a brigade-level or higher operational role, such as E8/04 level or higher or DA civilian or DoD contractor working in a TRADOC field

-Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

-Knowledge of leader development

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree


Additional Qualifications:

-Knowledge of Army Capstone Doctrine and operational design

-Ability to support multiple initiatives balancing resources and time to meet iterative requirements and changing priorities concurrently

-Ability to identify, scope, and design organizational change initiatives

-Ability to translate complex technical concepts and information to non-technical or specialist senior civilian and military employees

-Ability to be a self-starter, team player, and leader in a fast-paced environment

-Possession of excellent data gathering and analysis skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Completion of Command and General Staff College or Sergeants Major Academy

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
