Defense Research Analyst

Key Role:

Plan, organize, and coordinate security cooperation activities in support of a Service-level headquarters. Assist with coordinating the development, preparation, and execution of events and activities support Service-Level and OSD-led bi-lateral and multilateral engagements supporting international partnership development. Manage and provide recommendations to the client program and coordinate with project teams to prepare, review, and finalize project proposals and all required documentation. Manage and recommend actions for coordinating standardization agreements and standardization recommendation processes. Support a military cilent desk officer. Support studies and analyses regarding policies, procedures, and technical assistance governing international agreements. Ensure direct involvement in relevant armaments cooperation or international engagement activities occurring within the research and development community by providing representation on behalf of the client. This position is located in Arlington, VA.

Basic Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience in working with senior leaders at the SES or GO level within a DoD environment, including science and technology, acquisition, security cooperation, or military
-2+ years of experience in working with a DoD laboratory or program executive office (PEO)
-Experience with working in cross-cultural environments
-Ability to work in a fast-paced, diverse environment
-Secret clearance required
-BA or BS degree in Engineering, International Affairs, International Relations, Political Science, or Government

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with the US Army
-Knowledge of security cooperation policies and procedures
-Knowledge of service headquarters' roles and responsibilities
-Ability to pay strict attention to detail
-Possession of excellent interpersonal skills
-Possession of excellent critical thinking skills
-Possession of excellent oral and written communications skills
-MA or MS degree a plus
