Defense Research Force Management Analyst

Key Role:

Conduct analysis, provide recommendations, and support staff planning for client's global force management (GFM) and force synchronization requirements in support of regional Global Combatant Commands. Support component-level participation in combatant command and service force management conferences, working groups, and staff processes to effectively and efficiently align client activities with joint and service strategic objectives. Leverage client tools to create, track, and manage major operational and force level requirements and provide GCC-related recommendations for the OPFOR and service component campaign planning documents. Conduct research, analysis, and support to expeditionary maritime operational employment planning. Develop decision-support products to inform senior-leader decisions. Analyze and make recommendations to executive-level clients on service component and DoD strategy and plans documents, make recommendations, formulate appropriate responses where necessary, and facilitate further staff analysis and decision making. Analyze complex client issues from aviation operations to naval integration and assist client with developing solutions for integration. 


Basic Qualifications:
-3+ years of experience with participating in USMC Global Force Management and Force Synchronization processes
-3+ years of experience as the lead planner for large multi-national events requiring coordination with multiple organizations and departments
-3+ years of experience in a high-level USMC headquarters staff, including HQMC, MARFOR, or MEF

-Experience with Marine Corps Operating Forces
-Active Secret clearance
-BA or BS degree required


Additional Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office suite, including SharePoint, developing PowerPoint slides, and presenting to or briefing senior leadership

-Experience with Joint Staff or Global Combatant Command a plus

-Knowledge of Security Cooperation authorities and terminology
-Knowledge of Marine Corps roles, missions, capabilities, and structure
-Knowledge of Marine Corps Force Synch Playbook
-Knowledge of DoD, NATO, and international organizations

-Ability to manage planning efforts of multiple events simultaneously
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
-Possession of excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
-TS/SCI clearance preferred


Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
