Defense Workforce Planning Analyst, Mid

Key Role:

Provide functional support to a DoD CIO. Serve as a DoD CIO Cyber workforce policy and strategy analyst, and conduct research, analysis, and coordination of policy and governance documents. Integrate seamlessly into a team to provide support to existing IT and Cybersecurity workforce management programs. Assist with policy implementation, monitor program performance, and recommend and implement program and policy improvements. Provide human resources, including DoD personnel systems, categorizations, and databases and Cybersecurity subject matter expertise to the DoD CIO client. Support inter-department and cross-government Cyber workforce analysis, resource management, professional development, and strategic initiatives, ensuring DoD CIO equities are accurately represented. Provide support and recommendations on Department IT acquisition workforce activities and strategic initiatives.

Basic Qualifications:

-2+ years of experience with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook

-Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

-Ability to work independently

-Ability to lead tasks in formal and informal group settings

-Secret clearance

-HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with analyzing and coordinating Cybersecurity or workforce-related policy in a government organization

-Experience with implementing IT acquisition or other DoD acquisition Workforce related infinitives and policy

-Experience with federal civilian hiring authorities and the associated personnel systems

-Experience with military personnel systems, manpower systems, and related policy and statute

-Knowledge of the similarities and differences between federal civilian and military human capital management processes

-Knowledge of the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE) Cybersecurity workforce framework

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-TS/SCI clearance

-BA or BS degree
