Deputy Technical Project Manager

Key Role:

Support the lead technical project manager in leading and managing a team of software developers in the development of technical solutions to enable and enhance intelligence, national security, and law enforcement operations. Serve as a proxy product owner and coordinate with the lead PM, technical staff, customers, and other stakeholders to gain insight on the current issues, requested enhancements, and required features. Synthesize these requests into requirements that are suitable for software engineers. Work closely with the lead PM to decide on the importance of features and their place in the schedule. Leverage technical knowledge to triage critical and non-critical system and tool issues to ensure operational readiness. Collaborate with the lead technical project manager to plan and facilitate technical, business, and other project management tasks. Perform requirements gathering, system documentation, training, testing, budgeting, and data gathering or analysis. This position is located in Quantico, VA.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with software development

-2+ years of experience with project management

-Experience with managing client relationships

-Ability to manage or oversee a range of team members and subject matter experts

-Active Top Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with programming, scripting, or databases

-Experience with using Agile practices and principals

-Experience with working in a law enforcement market

-Knowledge of telecom or telecommunications related products

-Ability to display sound decision-making on matters of moderate to high complexity and importance

-Ability to self-direct under tight deadlines, work independently and as a team, and demonstrate a high level of accuracy and strict attention to detail
