Design Strategist, Lead

Key Role:

Leverage expertise in applying design principles and techniques to digital and non-digital problems. Provide baseline comprehension of strategies based on a foundation of ethnographic research, including uncovering unmet needs that truly drive the problem. Provide an arsenal of ideation techniques and conduct collaboration and co-creation. Assist with simplifying and translating complex problems into rich insights and visualizing synthesized data in journey maps, customer ecosystem diagrams, and service blueprints. Provide design solutions that will require "back-of-the-house" infrastructure, change management, and governance, including working collaboratively with experts from a variety of fields to create the support the solution needs.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with user experience (UX), service design, design thinking, design research, business design, or customer experience

-3+ years of experience in working with digital technologies, including mobile, Web, apps, and prototyping tools

-Experience with client negotiation and setting expectations against real world limitations

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience in consulting, facilitation, or training environments a plus

-Experience with communicating visually using tools, including AutoCAD, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, or Illustrator a plus

-Experience with business modeling, research and analytics, and development a plus
-Ability to be inspiring, open-minded, hardworking, collaborative, and thoughtful

-BA or BS degree in Design, Anthropology, Sociology, Business, or a related field preferred
