DevOps Architect

Key Role:

Maintain responsibility for designing, architecting, and presenting technical solutions throughout the sales life cycle. Evaluate and qualify new sales opportunities from a technical or solution perspective, partnering with the sales executives, capture managers, and delivery teams to design and develop technical solutions to acquire new clients and expand existing clients. Interact closely and build relationships, focused on all levels of prospective client staff, including management, business or functional groups, technical teams, content teams, and IT groups. Exhibit a broad technical acumen covering Web portals and applications, DevOps and software development, system integration, digital services, and Cloud technologies with knowledge of the underlying protocols and standards used in the operation of those technologies. Collaborate and leverage knowledge of technical solution design, business and financial benefits of technology, and client interaction.

Basic Qualifications:

-10+ years of experience with system architecture design and development, DevOps and software development, and system integration or development

-Experience with establishing, recommending, and implementing tools, technology, and process solutions for large enterprise-level projects

-Knowledge of some of the following: DevOps, Web portals and applications, software development, system integration, and Cloud technologies and the underlying protocols and standards used in the operation of those technologies

-Knowledge of federal technology initiatives, standards, and processes, such as FISMA and FedRAMP

-Ability to assess current technical landscape and recommend future solutions to meet the client’s strategic goals

-Ability to work in an existing technical environment and map out a roadmap for short-, medium-, and long-term solution strategies

-Ability to be flexible and adaptable, regularly adjusting direction and vision based on feedback from multiple sources, including market research, clients, and internal staff

-Ability to learn and expand on existing knowledge required

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with using tools to track, manage, and deploy data changes in SQL Server, including ReadyRoll and SSDT

-Experience with transitioning an organization to a continuous project delivery model

-Ability to implement CI/CD pipelines with Team Foundation Server (TFS)

-BA or BS degree in CS, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field preferred; MA or MS degree in CS, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field a plus
