DevOps Engineer, Mid

Key Role:

Manage and implement DevOps platforms to provide the capability for code developers to perform SDLC activities easily. Create Jenkins jobs for build automation and continuous integration and security. Manage Jenkins configurations, create pluggable development environments, and use Amazon Web Services (AWS) to provision and configure machines and virtual networks. Manage automated and non-automated build and deployment activities. Manage the gathering of requirements for business processes and determine ways to optimize and improve JIRA setups and workflows, including identifying where functionality can or cannot meet user requests. Create comprehensive JIRA workflows and various schemes and set up reports, dashboards, and filters in JIRA. Provide leadership for new process improvement opportunities and evangelize JIRA best practices to business and technology teams. 

Basic Qualifications:

-2+ years of experience with DevOps and automation frameworks, including Chef, Docker, Puppet, or Jenkins 
-Experience with software tools, including GitHub, Jenkins and Confluence
-Experience with performing all areas of configuration management (CM), including planning, change control, status accounting, and validation for multiple product baselines
-Experience with the Agile methodology and software development 
-Knowledge of JIRA or Confluence within an Agile framework

-Knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC)
-Ability to obtain a security clearance 
-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:
-4+ years of experience with digital Web architecture, mobile, and technologies trends, including products from leading firms in the digital services space, such as Google or Amazon

-2+ years of experience as a JIRA administrator, including customizing JIRA projects
-Experience with using JIRA REST APIs for integration schemes and complex workflows
-Experience with using Selenium Webdriver, JBehave, or Serenity reporting 
-Experience with PHP and JavaScript 
-Experience with Python, C, AngularJS, Zend, Doctrine, Drupal, C++, Ruby, Java, and Lisp, or Bash 
-Experience with SQL queries
-Experience with installing applications on VMs, monitoring performance, and tailing logs on UNIX systems 
-Ability to work in the Agile framework to identify process efficiencies in JIRA 
-Ability to work independently and within a team environment
-Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
