DevOps Engineer

Key Role:

Analyze customer business requirements and applicable regulations, security policies, and standards that provide a foundation for design. Build and automate a CI/CD pipeline, infrastructure, and service deployment, including leveraging scripting capabilities and infrastructure-as-code best practices to promote push-button provisioning and repeatability. Collaborate with the development team to comprehend their evolving needs and improve automation capabilities. Engineer and design solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and meet relevant security regulations, controls, and policies. Determine how to leverage services from Cloud providers and identify gaps that must be met through other tools, software, or third party services. Implement tools and services ranging from OS hardening to ACL/NACL flow control, Web application firewalls, SIEM, including Splunk, intrusion detection, and vulnerability management. Implement the design, installation, configuration, and testing of Cloud services and associated third party services and software.

Basic Qualifications:
-7+ years of experience with IT and network engineering, security engineering, systems administration, or security operations in a professional work environment

-Experience with the suite of AWS Services leveraged when providing automated DevSecOps solutions, including tools such as CloudFormation, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, EC2, IAM, Route 53, S3, RDS, SES, and VPC

-Experience with one of the following containers and container platforms: Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Pivotal Container Service, or MesoSphere

-Experience with developing Cloud formation and custom scripting via Ruby or Bash to configure automation capabilities

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

-AWS Professional Certification, including AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Associate or AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience as an AWS infrastrucure and best practices subject matter expert (SME), including expertise in Azure or other Cloud services a plus

-Experience with configuring CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, CodeBuild, or similar technologies

-Experience with code analysis tools, including SonarQube and Fortify

-AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional or AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional Certification
