Digital Interactive Content Designer

Key Role:

Use content marketing principles, best practices, and a digital-first approach to creatively tell visual stories about Booz Allen, its work, and its people to support the brand narrative and content strategy through high-quality, shareable visual content. Leverage expertise with tangible and digital event experiences, booth design, marketing collateral, graphics, photos, memes, gifs, and short video products, including Instagram stories. Fulfill work requests from markets, including content production, photo curation, and digital design consultation. Develop imagery, graphics, and other types of visual content to share on the firm’s online and offline channels to help reinforce content pillars and key messaging and to align with key campaigns. Pitch and execute ideas that support key brand narratives and editorial priorities from concept to final launch across multiple platforms.

Basic Qualifications: 

-3+ years of experience with brand, print, interactive design, illustration, photography, and graphics design

-Experience with creating compelling digital-first visual storytelling, especially on social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Snapchat

-Experience with industry-standard creative design tools, including Adobe Creative Suite, such as InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, and Premiere Pro

-Experience with e-mail design and direct marketing campaigns and Web Content Management Systems (CMS)

-Experience with managing visual design and multimedia production steps, including concept planning, storyboarding, development, and sequencing of visual or multimedia content and developing graphics and multimedia for online or offline dissemination

-Experience in working with content and digital strategists to plan and develop visual content to support or reinforce campaigns and activities, including case studies or reports, Web pages, social media graphics, live video, infographics, memes, cartoons, and other digital content

-Ability to maintain a production calendar that maps to overall content strategy, digital marketing, editorial calendar, and social media schedule

-Ability to provide portfolio or samples at the time of interview

-BA, BS, or BFA degree or 7 years of experience with brand, print, interactive design, illustration, photography, and graphics design

-Industry Certification in Interactive Media Design, Multimedia Design, or Graphic Design

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with creating content for social media channels for personal and professional use

-Experience in working with an agency or professional services firm

-Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other programming languages and front-end development techniques

-Experience with video production, motion graphics, and live video

-Knowledge of modern and emerging design principles and storytelling mechanisms 

-Ability to be tech savvy and learn new skills and keep up with the latest trends and best practices  

-Ability to be comfortable in a fast-paced environment and rapidly changing priorities, and be resourceful and well-organized

-Ability to stretch creatively with each new project while adhering to brand integrity and company objectives
