Electrical/Electronics/Systems Engineer

Key Role:

Provide engineering expertise to support Air Force nuclear weapons certification programs across all nuclear system sustainment and acquisition programs. Provide nuclear subject matter expertise and program management support to the Air Force client. Provide engineering program management support, including ensuring nuclear certification standards are met in accordance with applicable directives. Provide engineering expertise by reviewing, analyzing, and coordinating on contractor and government nuclear certification documentation. Review and conduct nuclear certification tasks and coordinate the efforts of technical support personnel, technical writers, and other technicians in developing approved nuclear certification packages for tactical and strategic aircraft systems and strategic missile systems. Perform electrical engineering analysis of design requirements for nuclear weapons and interface with delivery platforms. Participate in engineering reviews of interfaces, and functional specifications against system requirements.


Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with electrical, electronics, or systems engineering

-Experience with project management in a DoD or DoE environment

-Experience with military weapons systems and associated delivery platforms

-Top Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with electrical engineering, including control systems, electromagnetics, microelectronics, electric power and energy systems, and communications and signal processing

-Experience with programmable logic device, FPGA, and ASIC design, debugging, and testing

-Experience with military protocol, tactics, techniques, procedures, and current concepts of operations

-Experience with Test and Evaluation and Electrical Component Failure Analysis

-Experience with supporting system design, integration, and validation activities addressing electrical, mechanical, nuclear, software, or information technologies

-Experience with working in a DoD embedded software environment

-Experience with flight testing

-Experience with supporting nuclear weapon systems

-Experience with SAP

-Ability to work independently and in a team environment

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Possession of excellent organizational, time management, analytical, and problem-solving skills

-BA or BS degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering with an emphasis in Systems Engineering or related field preferred; MA or MS degree in Electrical Engineering or related field a plus


Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.
