Electrical Engineer

Key Role:

Perform engineering work for the planning, design, production, and maintenance of electric or electronic components, apparatus, or circuitry for use in electronic devices. Perform analysis, design, development, testing, and debugging of computer software to support distinct product hardware. Conduct experimental tests and analyze electronic equipment to establish production and operating controls. Perform activities that range from software design and operating architecture integration to the selection of computer systems. Apply basic principles, theories, and concepts to job assignments on a limited basis. Conduct closely managed work that involves limited problem solving while following standardized practices and procedures. Interface with the supervisor or manager and other professionals in the work group.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with performing electrical or computer engineering tasking for systems or subsystems installed in naval aviation or shipboard environments

-Experience with common communications standards, including RS-232 or RS-485

-Knowledge of software development for embedded systems or standalone applications

-Knowledge of multiple software development languages commonly applied to embedded system development, including C++, C#, and Assembly

-Ability to work independently on small tasks or as part of larger, multidisciplinary teams developing complex systems

-Secret clearance required

-BA or BS degree in EE

Additional Qualifications:

-Knowledge of the NAVAIR Systems Engineering and Technical Review (SETR) process

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Active Top Secret clearance a plus
