Electro-Optical Engineer, Mid

Key Role:

Provide electro–optical engineering support to PEO soldier and subordinate program manager programs, including technical market surveys and investigations. Develop system engineering plans, develop specifications, and conduct specification review and analysis. Develop and review interface control documents and develop documentation and architectures. Perform system design and technical analysis of components and systems. Determine program risk and manage quality control. Perform system integration and configuration management. Perform safety and Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) certification and test and assess product performance and safety.


Basic Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience with PEO Soldier/Night Vision, Electronic Sensors Directorate (NVESD), and US Army in designing, developing, and testing electro–optic equipment and systems, including advanced materials systems, photonic, fiber optic, and other communication systems

-Knowledge of system and subsystem design reviews, including Systems Requirements Reviews (SRR), Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR), Critical Design Reviews (CDRs), Engineering Integrated Product Team (IPT) reviews, Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs), and In–Service Reviews (ISRs)

-Ability to conduct engineering analyses, development, preparation, and updating PEO Soldier programs and products and product performance and safety testing

-Secret clearance

-BS degree in EE or 7+ years of experience with advanced electronics engineering and project management
