Electronic Design Automation Developer

Key Role:

Deliver Scientific, Engineering, and Technical Assistance (SETA) support to a government Program Manager (PM). Provide expertise in the development of electronic design automation (EDA), including electronic computer aided design (ECAD) tools, which will be used for the design of superconducting electronics. Assimilate and integrate technical inputs from performers and analyze performers' technical deliverables and reports. Conduct technical writing, the development or refinement of briefing materials, and other program documentation using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. Conduct independent review and summary of related technical literature and emerging technologies and participate in conferences and workshops related to program technical areas. Develop and document testing methodology and protocols, ensuring they align with program technology components. Assess performer results against program metrics and coordinate, align, and schedule technology development tasks across multiple performers and performer continuous analysis of technical progress in comparison to planned cost and schedule.


Basic Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience in at least 2 of the following 4 areas, within the past 10 years: the development of computer aided electronic design tools, modeling or design of superconducting electronics, computer design and architecture, and integration of multiple special purpose software packages

-2+ years of experience in the design, development, and testing of complex software systems within the past 10 years

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-MS degree in Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience in dealing with intellectual property (IP) issues related to electronics development or software tool development preferred

-Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently within a dynamic, interdisciplinary environment

-Ability to write concisely with persuasive speaking and writing expertise

-Ability to accurately convey technical and scientific issues to people with varying levels of expertise

-TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph preferred

-PhD degree in Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
