Electronic Health Records Integration Project Manager

Key Role:

Oversee the programmatic control elements for all the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Electronic Health Records Modernization Integration (EHRMi) projects and work to integrate projects across the enterprise, while ensuring local projects meet local requirements. Ensure projects have appropriate scope, risk, cost, and resource elements defined, support project management across multiple projects in and around EHRM and the full life cycle across the SDLC as it relates to medical systems, and the planning of projects risks associated with software deployment and development. Articulate best practices as it relates to cost and schedule, support senior leadership presentations, data calls, and interagency collaboration. Coordinate with directors of support channels to gather information on the status of open items, clarify any new requirements added to the action tracker, ensure that EHRMi and OI&T processes and standards are applied to all assigned tasks and projects, and provide support to address changes to task and project scope, schedule or funding, and methods to document and analyze proposed changes for presentation to VA Leadership for a decision. Create project plans to support EHRMi, including site- and enterprise-level plans, integrate and coordinate plans with EHRM and Cerner project plans, and identify and support risk management, including using a risk register and engagement with OI&T’s Risk Management Processes.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with technical IT project management

-Knowledge of VA’s OI&T organization for VIP processes

-Knowledge of Microsoft Project and the VA

-BA or BS degree in Engineering, CS, Systems, or Business and 15 years of experience in a professional work environment
