Electronic Warfare Developer

Key Role:
Develop manual waveforms in support of electronic warfare initiatives and use multiple software coding frameworks to design waveform techniques. Conduct intelligence research for an Air Force client identifying existing relevant capabilities and technological solutions to defeat current and emerging threats associated with the client’s essential core mission. Recommend platform modifications, track capability development, coordinate testing, and inform tactics development to guide the weapon system’s evolution. Develop tactics, requirements, and intelligence functions to ensure client capabilities meet the requirements of current and future operations, develop working relationships with Cyber organizations, and identify opportunities for air-enabled Cyber operations. Liaise with the client’s program office to develop and implement major platform enhancements, quick reaction capabilities, and software changes. Provide professional continuity for the requirements process and the strategic vision for the weapon system and work in an office environment. Analyze current and emerging threat Radio Frequency (RF) systems, including communications and radar for vulnerabilities in conjunction with DoD or national intelligence and analysis centers, research existing electronic attack (EA) or jamming techniques, and coordinate to transfer them for use within assigned platforms.

Basic Qualifications:
-4+ years of experience in working with DoD electronic warfare
-Experience with electronic warfare collection, jamming, and reprogramming systems
-Experience with planning or employing EAs
-Knowledge of how to use software, including MATLAB and C++ to program technical and waveforms into loadable code
-TS/SCI clearance
-BA or BS degree 

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with EA targeting and effects estimates
-Experience with applying critical thinking expertise to complex technical problems
-Knowledge of how to formulate EA techniques and waveforms unilaterally or in coordination with Cyber development organizations, the Intelligence Community, Department of Defense Research Laboratories, University Affiliated Research Centers (UARCs), or Federally Funded Research and Development Centers (FFRDCs)
-Knowledge of radar and communications signal generation and processing
-Knowledge of ELINT data and analysis
-Knowledge of current Air Force Electronic Warfare capabilities
-Possession of excellent interpersonal skills
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-BS degree in Physics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a technical field or experience in Electronic Attack Capabilities preferred; MS degree in a technical field a plus
-Graduate of a Military Electronic Warfare Course or Developmental Engineering School, including experience with practical engineering or flight testing preferred
