Electronic Warfare Quality Assurance and Technical Writer, Mid

Key Role:

Maintain responsibility for quality assurance document control for engineering activities to certify and accredit secure airborne or ground communications systems, information systems, and special-purpose airborne or ground systems, including software and hardware integration labs. Analyze automated test result metrics across multiple ALR-69 and other electronic warfare task to insure consistent performance, communicate with the government program manager and sub-contractor during the ALR-69 field testing phase, and monitor logs for potential unseen issues. Mentor new hires in ALR-69 testing techniques. Maintain responsibility for the planning, implementation, and execution of a quality assurance program, including the full range of quality principles, concepts, inspection techniques, surveillance, and evaluations related to emerging engineering activities and monitor and document the certification of secure airborne or ground communications systems, information systems, and special-purpose airborne or ground systems, including software and hardware integration labs. Advise the program manager of a variety of systematic activities designed to prevent defective or nonconforming products and to assure that these products are acceptable and perform as intended. Create technical documents and manuals, explain complex information in a clear and concise manner, and work with scientific staff to ensure the accuracy of product descriptions. Log and track software defects, when found and communicate issues to developers and product management, plan, develop, organize, write, and edit operational procedures and manuals, research, develop, and document technical design specifications and test scripts, including producing electronic documentation in addition to hard copy manuals.


Basic Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience with technical writing or quality assurance

-Experience with aircraft electronic weapon systems, including ALR-69, ALQ-131, ALQ-131A, ALQ-184, ALR-56M, APR-39, AAR-47, AAR-44, and ALQ-172

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree or 20+ years of experience in the military in lieu of a degree


Additional Qualifications:

-ISO Training from any Quality Assurance Technical School or QA Certifications preferred

-Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Lean Six Sigma Black-Belt, preferred


Clearance:
