Embedded Systems Engineer

Key Role:

Serve primarily as an embedded systems engineer on a team conducting research, developing solutions, and providing technical assistance in support of DoD clients. Perform embedded system analysis, design, and development, solve complex problems, and provide consulting support to a variety of clients with diverse requirements. Work as a highly motivated self-starter requiring minimal oversight. Interact directly with clients to identify problems, generate solutions, and communicate results.

Basic Qualifications:

-2+ years of experience with embedded software and firmware design

-2+ years of experience in programming with C/C++ on Linux and Windows

-Experience with testing and debugging at the board level and developing systems with FPGAs or ASICs

-Experience with embedded Linux, RTOS, ARM, AVR, and PIC

-Experience with writing and delivering technical documents and briefings

-Experience in scientific or numerical computing with Python or MATLAB

-Knowledge of security evaluation and threat assessment of embedded systems

-Ability to interact directly with clients to identify problems, analyze data, generate solutions, and communicate results

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with reverse engineering

-Experience with VHDL or Verilog

-Experience with developing machine learning algorithms

-Experience with using lab equipment, including logic analyzers or oscilloscopes

-Experience with wireless networking and communications protocols

-Experience with electrical circuit and PCB design

-Knowledge of hardware security methods, including PUF, TPM, or secure boot

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Possession of excellent client-facing, consulting, leadership, and organizational skills

-MS or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
