Embedded System Design Analyst

Key Role:
Work as part of a diverse contract team supporting a DoD client, using expertise to perform in-depth technical analysis of the capabilities and vulnerabilities of foreign military computer, network, and communications systems. Perform advanced technical research and analysis of embedded operating system software and applications associated with foreign military systems to identify their functionality, capabilities, and vulnerabilities. Coordinate within the team effectively and collaborate with multiple analytic partners across the DoD and National intelligence communities to author concise scientific and technical intelligence assessments in conformance with the intelligence community (IC)’s analytic integrity standards, including conveying the results of that analysis to the client's DoD and IC partners and consumers.
 

Basic Qualifications:
-5+ years of experience with software design and analysis
-1+ years of experience with embedded systems software design, development, or analysis, including object-oriented and functional software design and development in C, C++, C#, Java, Python, and assembly language
-Experience with working in a classified environment
-Knowledge of secure coding design practices
-Knowledge of Microsoft Office and expertise in Microsoft applications
-Ability to identify software vulnerabilities, including buffer overflows, pointer subterfuge, and off-by-one errors
-TS/SCI clearance
-BA or BS degree 
 

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with all-source scientific and technical intelligence research, analysis and production supporting DoD or US government agencies
-Experience with software and firmware code assembly, disassembly, and reverse engineering using current software de-buggers and diagnostic tools
-Experience with Kernel security research
-Experience with weapon system design or evaluation
-Knowledge of development modeling tools and virtual machine design and technologies
-Knowledge of military telecommunications systems design and wireless technologies
-Knowledge of computer and network attack points and methods, including fuzzing and target probing
-Knowledge of programmable hardware interfaces, including Arduino
-Knowledge of control area network (CAN)
-Knowledge of LabView
-Knowledge of real-time operating systems
-Knowledge of older or legacy microprocessor systems
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
-MS degree in Computer Engineering, CS, or EE
 

Clearance: 
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
