Emergency Communications Cybersecurity Analyst

Key Role:

Work as part of a Booz Allen team providing public safety and emergency communications Cybersecurity technical, policy, and strategic analysis to support the client's federal, state, local, and tribal public safety emergency communications coordination mission. Apply expertise in consulting and Cybersecurity to helping lead discussions with clients and stakeholders, defining project requirements, facilitating data collection and analyses, helping to develop client solutions, supporting studies and meetings, providing technical support to pilot projects, as needed, and documenting and compiling notes. Apply expertise in oral and written communications to develop project deliverables, including written reports and briefing slides. Support technical assessments of public safety communications technologies in the emergency communications ecosystem with a focus on Cybersecurity. Draft reports on critical aspects of emergency communications technology, including operability, interoperability, resiliency, Cybersecurity, and maturity through briefings, whitepapers, and stakeholder engagement.

Basic Qualifications:

-8+ years of experience in a professional work environment

-Experience with the design, development, and implementation of Cybersecurity for large-scale networks and security operation centers

-Experience with data exchange elements, including data exchange hubs, message brokers, and information sharing environments (ISEs)

-Knowledge of existing and emerging Cyber tools and techniques, including intrusion detection and protection systems (IDPS), network behavior anomaly detection tools (NBADs), SIEM, configuration management tools, Cyber threat signature analysis, SSL intercept, ICAM, and AI-enabled HIDS, NIDS, and PIDS

-Knowledge of Cybersecurity market conditions and leading vendors

-Ability to design and lead pilots for proof of concept

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience in working with federal, state, or local government clients

-Experience in working with public safety, law enforcement, emergency communications, or emergency management

-Experience with working in an entrepreneurial environment

-Knowledge of current federal, state, or the local communications policy landscape and current rulemakings

-Knowledge of the communications systems planning, budgeting, and acquisition processes at the state, local, or federal level

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-BA or BS degree
