Employee Relations Specialist

Key Role:

Maintain responsibility for leading detailed, factual investigations into alleged violations of the firm's EEO and equivalent ethics policies, including harassment, discrimination, workplace violence, or drug or alcohol violations. Compile detailed written summary of findings at conclusion of the investigation and formally present findings to the firm’s Disciplinary Action Committee (DAC), as necessary. Collaborate and consult with other partners, including HR, ethics, and other internal Booz Allen Hamilton teams to resolve escalated employee relations and HR compliance inquiries across all segments and locations of the business. Provide support and direction to the HR community and other internal teams on policy guidance and interpretation and assist with analyzing HR policies, including policies and practices regarding ethics and compliance, furloughs, lack of work, and disciplinary actions. Facilitate ER training sessions and participate in workstreams regarding compliance and large-scale or major events, including firmwide capacity management events and emergency situations, such as office closings due to natural or man-made events. Maintain responsibility for developing and implementing actions to address gaps or areas requiring attention, including internal projects, reviewing Employee Relations and DAC cases, disciplinary action reports, or other data sources to identify trends by level, geography, or issue, and work with colleagues, managers, and other internal teams to provide recommendations and actions to resolve wide-spread employee relations or compliance issues. Develop subject matter expertise in a specialized area, including ADA accommodations or compliance and provide support for resolving ADA issues, as necessary.

Basic Qualifications:
-4+ years of experience with leading and conducting investigations into complex complaints of workplace harassment, discrimination, or workplace violence
-Experience with conducting investigations with staff at all levels across an organization
-Ability to gather, analyze, and synthesize information and data from multiple sources and summarize investigative findings in writing clearly and concisely
-Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
-BA or BS degree in Business or Human Resources

Additional Qualifications:
-Possession of excellent interviewing and fact gathering skills
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
-HR Certification, including PHR and SPHR
