Energy Cyber Analyst, Senior

Key Role:

Apply knowledge of Cybersecurity and privacy analysis and consulting throughout the security assessment and compliance life cycle process. Maintain responsibility for planning, developing, and finalizing Cybersecurity and privacy policies, programs, compliance artifacts, and standards in support of government and industry security compliance, systems accreditation, and management. Contribute to the development of the documentation, validation, and accreditation processes necessary to assure systems meet security and privacy requirements. Conduct assessments of the effectiveness of an organization’s IT security and privacy training program, including conducting social engineering exercises to ensure training remains consistent with current Cybersecurity and privacy threats and policies and assist with achieving full compliance with any or all laws and regulations. Provide leadership and mentoring for lower level employees and contribute to the development of innovative principles and ideas. Work on unusually complex problems and provide solutions that are highly creative. Act as a leader on large programs or projects that affect the organization's long-term goals and objectives.


Basic Qualifications:

-Knowledge of High Value Assets, NIST, FISMA, and EINSTEIN

-Knowledge of the Continuous Diagnostic and Monitoring (CDM) program to support the roll out at the DoE

-Knowledge of the IT investment process

-Ability to serve as a project manager and self-starter

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience in supporting the DoE CIO with Cyber hot button issues

-Possession of excellent organizational skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
