Energy Program Analyst

Key Role:

Provide leadership for a team by developing internal processes and products with the program manager, preparing various client deliverables, including a workload matrix, procurement status, weekly and monthly progress, and others, as identified, and coordinating with the client’s management and team members. Apply expertise in initiative and management to ensure the team provides consistent and exemplary support and contractual requirements in a timely manner and continues to innovate and improve processes and products. Attend project meetings and prepare meeting minutes for distribution, deliver status reports for the portfolio of renewable energy projects, provide research or data analytics support, prepare presentations, and review project documents. Maintain responsibility for the development and implementation of a records management program for filing, protection, and retrieval of records and preparing standard operating procedures for the renewable energy program.

Basic Qualifications: 

-1 year of experience with supporting the analysis, evaluation, and tracking of procurement actions in a program, including the development of life cycle cost analyses, cost benefit analyses, and other economic evaluations of current or projected programs

-Experience with the use of project development software and Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BS degree

Additional Qualifications: 

-Experience with Federal Energy Management Program (FEMP)-available tools, including software, calculators, data sets, eProject Builder, and Energy Conservation Measure benchmarking tools and databases

-Experience with project execution process for the FEMP

-Experience with strategic planning and project management, developing data analysis and data-driven decision alternatives, drafting concise, professional reports, providing high-profile presentations and briefings, and dealing with alternatively financed projects

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-BS degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Economics, or a related business field preferred

-Certified Energy Manager (CEM) Certification or experience with Department of Energy (DOE) projects, including conducting negotiations and reviewing preliminary assessments, investment grade audits, post-installation reports, annual performance and verification reports, and economic analyses
