Engineering Program Manager

Key Role:
Lead program efforts and multiple task orders for contracts in Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) and other engineering field work in technology gaps, laboratory enhancements, systems architecture and design, integration impacts, and management control areas. Support engineering, integration, and technical service staff with financial and programmatic aspects of their work while reporting to upper management. Bring expertise in cost, schedule, and performance improvement to major DoD programs. This position requires travel of up to 10% and is located in San Diego, CA.

Basic Qualifications:
-7+ years of experience in the IT program management field
-Experience in managing multiple IT or PNT projects with a Navy or Air Force focus preferred
-Knowledge of all aspects of DoD Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) processes, including IT best practices and data management
-Active Secret clearance required
-BS degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with aircraft avionics, ship integration, handheld, radio systems, and other common DoD platforms that integrate with PNT and network equipment preferred
-Experience with Requests for Proposal (RFPs), finance, and contracts management preferred
-Knowledge of PNT, GPS, Inertial Navigation Systems (INSs), jamming, or spoofing technologies and techniques is preferred
-Knowledge of business process optimization and project or program management techniques and best practices preferred
-Top Secret clearance or higher a plus
-MS or MBA degree preferred
-Management Certifications, including Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level III training or Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred
