Engineering Support Analyst, Senior

Key Role:  
Manage and support the daily operations and maintenance (O&M) of numerous computer networks and systems and provide Tier 2 management and support for local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs), including various data circuits, such as T/optical carriers, networking devices, such as routers, switches, and firewalls, encryption services, and keying COMSEC devices. Perform complex tasks associated with the planning, development, and management of new and changing requirements for deploying network capabilities and communications architectures. Install hardware and software, perform system fixes and updates, research, troubleshoot, and document findings on technical issues regarding applicable network devices and applications, and perform modifications and enhancements for numerous medium-sized networks. Maintain direct communication with the client by providing status updates to outstanding trouble tickets, tasks, and projects. Support organizational growth requirements by quickly locating and connecting fiber and copper cable endpoints for user desks within data centers and uplinks between building floors and physically relocating client computer systems, network connections, and other capabilities with minimal downtime. Request, coordinate, and execute the replacement of hardware and software via Technology Refresh (TR) procedures in accordance with established security policies and procedures while validating vendor quotes for purchases, including data center infrastructure, such as power, cooling, and cabling, server back end equipment and system software, networking infrastructure components, and establishing maintenance and support contracts to reduce lapses in services. Create working relationships with organizational partners, groups, and other third parties to resolve Joint technical issues.
 

Basic Qualifications:
-4 years of experience in working with the DoD
-Experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2008/2012/2016, Windows 7/10 and Exchange Server 2010/2013/2016, SharePoint 2007/2010/2013, and SQL 2008/2012/2014 advanced administration
-Experience with LAN advanced layer 2 switching, layer 3 routing functionality, and VoIP or VTC advanced setup and administration with Cisco products
-Experience with desktop operating system (OS) image creation and deployment and backup technologies using tape and disk-to-disk de-duplication devices
-Experience with antivirus or anti-malware setup and updates to Symantec and McAfee products
-Experience with IP encryptors, including client platforms and and virtualization products, including VMware
-Active TS/SCI clearance required; willingness to take a polygraph exam
-BA or BS degree
-DoDD 8140 Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level 2 Certification and Computer Environment (CE) Certification from an OS, including Microsoft or Cisco
 

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with deploying and maintaining Air Force SecureView
-Experience with SAP preferred
