Engineering Support Journeyman

Key role:

Oversee help desk duties for clients' applications, communicate remotely with end users, and help troubleshoot the issues. Work with developers and the technical team to resolve issues and document changes, answer phone calls, and work with end users to help them resolve issues. Maintain responsibility for local desktop, printer, and computer peripherals, including storage, Video Telephonic Conferencing (VTC), network support, and systems administration for all personnel on contract. Maintain Standard Desktop Configuration (SDC) secure desktops. Work with the Air Force Network Integration Center (AFNIC) to maintain services, as required. Manage commercial LAN, Internet services, and wireless LAN services. Provide rapid response and troubleshooting of system and network platforms, when issues arise.

Basic Qualifications:

-10+ years of experience in working with the DoD

-4+ years of experience in a SAP or SCI environment

-1+ years of experience with providing client-facing help desk support for Windows-based systems

-Knowledge of the architecture and terminology used in enterprise scale Microsoft Windows computing environments

-TS/SCI clearance
-MA, MS, or ME degree

-IAT III/IAM II Certification

Additional Qualifications:

-4 years of experience in a SAP or SCI environment within the last 5 years

-Experience with working or providing support in Air Force Enterprise Networks a plus

-Experience with using a ticketing system
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
