Environmental Compliance Consultant

Key Role

Serve as a consultant in support of environmental compliance and restoration efforts for the DoD in Ft Belvoir, VA. Provide data collection efforts and records management, and compile and maintain responsibility of databases in accordance with DoD requirements and records schedule. Support DoD by reviewing, interpreting and defining the application of new statutory and regulatory requirements. Provide deliverables, including offering recommendations for DoD regarding integration of requirements. Aid the environmental restoration branch with evaluations for project costs, complexity, and accuracy, and provide evaluation of current technologies, market research, and complexity of solutions, including supporting audit sustainment program manager with Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), and Interagency Support Agreements (ISSA) preparation. Assist with identification and deployment of measurement systems, program analysis, planning and development, including, process mapping, and benchmarking. Support all aspects of conferences and meetings, including meeting setup, facilitation, deliverables, graphics, audiovisual equipment, study materials, invitations and record keeping.


Basic Qualifications:

-1+ years of experience with environmental compliance

-Experience with environmental compliance

-Experience with federal, state, and local regulations and statutes, Air Force and DoD regulations

-Public Trust clearance

-BA or BS degree


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with DoD energy

-Experience with DoD environmental compliance

-Experience with DoD Audits

-Experience with Enterprise Business System (EBS)

-Experience with records management, project tracking, SharePoint and database maintenance

-Possession of excellent organizational skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Secret Clearance

-AA or AS degree with 15+ years of experience with DoD, BA or BS degree with 3 years of experience with DoD or MA or MS degree
