Environmental Compliance Specialist, Mid

Key Role:

Provide a broad spectrum of support for environmental compliance programs. Perform air emission calculations, evaluate air permit compliance, regulated waste management, wastewater, stormwater, water quality compliance, storage tank compliance, and Phase I real property assessments, and support NEPA projects. Leverage experience with performing onsite evaluations and manage multiple environmental compliance programs. Perform as a skilled researcher, capable of interpreting federal, state, and local environmental regulations, including pertinent agency guidance documents and orders.


Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with working as an environmental consultant or a similar position

-2+ years of experience with leading tasks and managing projects

-Experience with supporting multiple environmental compliance program areas, including air, water, and waste, such as projects that involve conducting onsite assessments, audits, or inspections, performing record reviews and regulatory research, providing program compliance guidance, and implementing compliance strategies in the field

-Knowledge of federal environmental regulations, including CAA, NESHAP, RCRA, TSCA, FIFRA, CWA, SDWA, CERCLA, and NEPA
-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BS degree


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with data management, SharePoint, and Tableau

-Experience with air programs, water and wastewater, and fuel storage tanks

-Experience with supporting field sampling events

-BS degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Health Science, or a related field preferred; MS or MPH degree a plus

-Current 40–hour HAZWOPER Certification

-Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) or RCRA Inspector Certification
