Environmental Consultant, Mid

Key Role:

Provide broad-based support to various DoD environmental clients with a primary focus on environmental restoration cost estimating and technical writing. Conduct research and analysis on existing environmental programs, including reviews of site investigation reports, remedial processes, and environmental monitoring data. Comprehend, analyze, and interpret policy and regulatory requirements, including Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERLA), and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA). Develop requirements and cost estimates for all types and phases of environmental restoration, including investigations, environmental monitoring, and remedial actions, such as excavation, soil vapor extraction, in-situ biodegradation, and pump-and-treat type systems at petroleum and solvent contaminated sites. Perform on a diverse team while managing and executing multiple tasks simultaneously.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with environmental science, environmental engineering, or environmental cost estimating

-Experience with Microsoft Excel

-Knowledge of environmental restoration, environmental systems, and cost estimating

-Ability to execute multiple tasks at once within tight timeframes and quickly adapt to changing environments

-Ability to review and write environmental cost estimating assumptions

-Ability to analyze environmental cost data over multiple years

-Ability to accept and provide feedback on technical quality and performance of team member

-Ability to pay attention to detail and maintain quality of work required

-BA or BS degree in Environmental Science or Engineering

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with environmental cost estimating software

-Experience with developing independent government estimates or Remedial Action Cost Engineering Requirements (RACER) cost estimates

-Knowledge of DoD programming policies and processes and contract execution and surveillance

-Possession of excellent analytical and organizational skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
